On June 2nd, 2024 at around 11:00 AM an unknown female entered the Canadian Tire Gas Bar located on Great Northern Road. The suspect grabbed a bottle of pop and approached the counter demanding cigarettes. The suspect was asked to leave and refused throwing the bottle at the cashier and smashing the glass barrier and display case.

On May 5, 2024, two males were observed exiting the same vehicle entering Walmart. The males proceeded to separate checkouts with minimal purchases. The suspects produced $100.00 bills and got back $99.00 and $95.00 in change but left with their original $100.00 bills.

On May 7th, 2024, at approximately 5 A.M., an unknown male attended on the property of 1291 Wellington Street East. The suspect proceeded to set fire to a pallet containing rubbish. The Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire.

Sometime in late May 2024 a male entered the Circle K located on Second Line West. The suspect grabbed a tray and filled it with ice cream valued at over $600.00. He later returned and grabbed another basket filled with ice cream and fled the store.

Sometime between April 6th, 2024, and April 30th, 2024, suspect(s) attended the seasonal residence located at 291 Goulais Mission Road in the Goulais Bay area. Suspects(s) made forced entry to the residence and ransacked the interior. Suspect(s) stole a Winchester .22 long rifle and Winchester 12 gauge shotgun. On April 5, 2024, at around 11:00 pm an unknown female entered the Shoppers Drug Mart. While being observed on store security cameras the female suspect took several items valued at $160.00 concealing them and exited the store. The female left in a dark gray GMC truck that was waiting at the exit.

On 20 March 2024 at around 7:00 PM a female entered Tooltown located on Trunk. The suspect took a Wiser deadbolt set valued at $40.00 concealing the item under her coat and walked out of the store without paying.

STATUS: OPENCrime Stoppers and the Sault Ste Marie Ontario Provincial Police are requesting your assistance in identifying suspects involved in an incident of Break, Enter, and Theft of an ATM Machine.
On the 22nd of February 2024, shortly after 3:00 am, unknown suspects attended Dinelle’s Country Market Store in Echo Bay in a dark-colored pick-up truck. The suspects entered the vestibule area of the store and after lengthy attempts, were able to forcefully remove an ATM that was attached to a wall. The total sum of stolen cash is estimated to be $1,500 and property damage is estimated to be approximately $4,000.

Staff reviewed video footage and discovered two individuals had taken the phones.

Around 7:51 p.m. on August 2, 2023, an unidentified female was involved in a robbery at a store in the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road. The woman hid numerous makeup products in a red reusable shopping bag from the store. When a store associate approached her, she grabbed a porcelain bowl from a nearby display and swung it at the store associate, narrowly avoiding their head. The male accomplice has been identified.

At around 1;30 a.m. on January 23, 2024, a man and a woman entered an apartment building in the 200 block of Northern Avenue. Utilizing a crowbar, they forcibly opened the door, gaining entry to the building’s lobby. Once inside, they stole a brown leather couch and a side table. Their escape vehicle was identified as a blue Ford Escape, towing a small open trailer. These individuals will be wanted on charges of break-and-enter, theft under $5000, and mischief.

Around 3:00 p.m. on January 18, 2024, an unidentified male suspect visited a store in Cambrian Mall. The individual chose a box of pots and pans, along with an air fryer, and proceeded to exit through the rear of the store without making any payment. The total value of the stolen merchandise is $250. The suspect was followed to Boehmer Boulevard. At this point, the suspect revealed a knife, prompting the store associate to disengage.

At approximately 2 a.m. on August 17, 2023, at a residence on Avery Road, an individual was awakened by the sound of their car alarm. They discovered their truck engulfed in flames, with a jerry can of gasoline on the driver’s seat. The vehicle suffered significant damage, and the heat caused harm to both a travel trailer and the side of the residence.

On 28 December 2023 at around 7:30 AM an unknown male entered a Circle K located on Wellington Street. The suspect attempted to pay for two coffees with a counterfeit US 100.00 bill. The clerk recognized the bill as counterfeit and immediately seized the bill and called the police.
